Well with the 2009 All*Star Game in the books, I thought it might be time to have a little fun! Below are some photos that you may, or may not have seen over the years. They make me happy. Enjoy.

The below photo features Pirates SP Zach Duke, who, it would seem, must have made the mistake of passing out for a few minutes in the company of friends with access to a Sharpie marker.

I have always loved this picture. It is clear that Jeter was just trying to chill on the beach until these hussies approached him for a photo.

Classic.

Bronson Arroyo.
Stud.

Vintage Ponson. He wonders why he was tossed off the Rangers.

J-Roll probably "rolled" to the emergency room after this.

No words for this. Posada.

Always liked this one. Why? Poor old man Zimm.

Funny. I have never heard Bill talk about this one on MLB Network. Yes, it is real and you can read about it here.

...and finally. This man has gone 54 years with that name.

So here we are. Mid-Season and one thing I was certainly wrong about. The Royals. Wow, what happened? They are terrible. Seriously, terrible.

A lot of baseball has been played. A lot has happened. Manny returned. Not sure what happened. Did he miscarriage? Anyone know?

One really cool thing that happened was this. It is awesome that the first no-no came from a young lefty who stepped in place of the ailing Randy Johnson. Watch the video. If the stuff with his dad being there doesn’t put a tear in your eye go back and watch Field of Dreams. If you STILL don’t cry, then you are not human.

The A.L. East is shaping up the way it was supposed to. The Blue Jays finally looked in a mirror and realized they are wearing Blue Jays uniforms and started losing like they are supposed to. If you still think the wild card isn’t coming out of the A.L. East, you need to wake up. Although, I could be all “Royals” on this one and be completely wrong.

The Cubs are stinkin’ up the joint real good. Someone must have told them that it is the postseason ALL YEAR LONG because they are playing like it. The loveable losers. Maybe it is time to drop the “loveable” part.

The Mets. Wow. I actually feel sorry for them with all the injuries, but David Wright, come on! When is he going to the old Shea Stadium and find the bat he left there?

Finally, if you consider yourself a true baseball fan, do yourself a favor and watch the All-Star game. The talent alone in this game is amazing. Jeter, Pedroia, Mauer, Teixeira, Pujols, Utley, and how about Evan Longoria. Wow, getting the mad respect that he clearly deserves.

Watch the All-Star game. You won’t regret it.

Thank you. That is all.
